Description:
An LBJ, Articulating Paper Doll (five total) was hung at each of these locations around the city. A photo was taken to document the event at each location.
(1) 11/2/97; On a rusty fence just outside the gate to Pier 32, home of the SS Jeremiah O'Brien Historic World War II Liberty Ship. The Embarcadero between Brannan and Bryant Sts.
(2) 11/3/97; On a wooden street sign post in front of Building #106, Arnold Palmer Golf Management. The Presidio, former US Military Base and staging area for the Viet Nam and other American wars. Lincoln Blvd. and Montgomery St.
(3) 11/4/97; On a round metal street sign post, directly across from the Capp Street Project art gallery. Federal and 2nd Sts.
(4) 11/6/97; On a round metal NO PARKING ANY TIME sign post, in front of 201 Telegraph Hill Boulevard, near the base of Coit Tower.
(5) 11/7/97; On a concrete traffic signal post, at the northeast corner of Oak and Ashbury Sts. The Golden Gate Park Panhandle in Haight-Ashbury, home of the 1960's Hippie movement.
