I am so disappointed. I was expecting some great new Rosen applets but
all I found are the same old ones which I have already played with
numerous times on the ITP site.
Is the West Coast making you sluggish?
You are brilliant regardless but your fans are waiting for more.

sheerest genius is not instantly recognizable
to all casual observers, and yet, that is what
the ELECTROMICS series represents, in a
realm in which 'killer apps' threaten death by
relentless boredom via commercial pollution.

THANKS BE TO (THE SAINTLY & ULTRA
TALENTED) JORO, for this very fine series
of (educational and) entertaining artworks.
also, best wishes for his future art projects.

Dear Sir,
Impressed with what you are doing.
I am trying to get hold of some Java programmers who may be interested
in participating in a world comic project to be held hopefully in
Spring of 1999.
a) Gallery of comic art (pages from and covers of comic books) in
cabinets/on easily constructed pillars, walls, ceilings etc
b) Computer generated Slide Show (Original Music from Slovenia, Bosnia and Japan is presently being created)
c) Shockwave/Java generated/Gif animated interactive comics which visitors to the exhibition would be able to view on
individual monitors situated at various locations around the exhibition space
d) Computers linked to ComicUniverse Website and other sites featuring the artists' work

Any way you can assist?
Yours sincerely

Evergreen Innovations, LLC. has developed a technology called Osgood System - Color for creating visual depth effects on television and computer displays. This technology can add 3D effects to television and web cartoon animations.

An observer views our four minute video while wearing special glasses with one blue -green lens and one magenta lens. Greenish colored fish in the demonstration video appear to be in front of the screen when they move from left to right. In contrast, reddish colored fish appear to be in front of the screen when they move from right to left. The greenish fish appear to be behind the screen when they move from right to left. The reddish fish appear to be behind the screen when they move from left to right. The same effects are produced with neutral colored fish (black, gray, white, blue or yellow) when the backgrounds are colored green or red. When an observer views the demonstration video without wearing the glasses, the imagery appears normal.

Evergreen Innovations, LLC. holds U.S. Patent 5,751,397 on the Osgood System - Color. This patent teaches the basic principles of the Osgood System - Color. An additional patent that extends the Osgood System - Color is pending. If you are interested in this technology, we will send you the demonstration video and the inexpensive viewing glasses which produce the depth effects. You may request the demonstration video and glasses by return e-mail to alosgood@gte.net, or telephone Al Osgood of Evergreen Innovations at (425) 883-9734.

TIP: ONE SITE THAT COULD REALLY USE AN "ABOUT" PAGE

June 22nd, 1999

It's not that Electromics isn't an interesting site. Where else on the
Web, after all, can you find such truly innovative interactive
animations as The Ol' Blue Eyes Pocket Pal (press the plunger, and his
eyes open and close) and such engaging do-it-yourself projects as The
Joyce Maynard Articulating Paper Doll (which you can assemble yourself
with a few brads and a pair of scissors)? The only question is, WHY?
And it's a question that never gets answered, no matter how much time
you spend here.

Is a puzzlement. The Joyce Maynard I'm familiar with -- the one who recently sold her love letters from J.D. Salinger -- has no boobs and weighs no more than the completed paper doll. The paper doll image makes Maynard look like she's been pilfering from Mark McGwire's medicine cabinet.

Are you the J.H. Rosen who did the comic Oil Man "Living Oil" back in 1986? I have issue #1. It was supposed to be a three issue series but I never saw the other two. I was wondering if you had any copies hidden away in your basement or something, and if I could buy or trade for them. I'm a cartoonist too, and have had many books published. My latest book Monkey Vs. Robot was just nominated for a Harvey award. You can learn more about my comics at http://www.indyworld.com/kochalka

please email me: james@indyworld.com

Joe, someday we are going to get ALL of your computer art work from over the YEARS in a museum in New York City (your hometown, well Brooklyn was -but close enough). People need to see this work, as I've been saying for years now!!! Your fan and long time friend,

hey joe,

I'm really interested in making an intervalometer for my canon 1014xl super 8 camera. Do I follow your instructions? I'm not a real genius when it comes to these sort of things, so tips are welcome. By the way - stunning movies!!
Cheers,
Marc

HI, I'v just started programming in NSbasic for the PalmIIIc, but have used the Basic Stamp for 3 years. I can do the Stamp end (prog and hardware, maybe) but the Palm is another story. I can use a hot sync cable, but the software end for now is beyond me. Could you give me some help? Alicia Worley, Junior, Keyser High School alicia@snsemp.com

Hi Joe,

I’m looking for a time-lapse controller like the one you built for a Super 8 camera. Since I know nothing about programming (I feel dizzy just reading the Parallax webpage) would it be possible to buy an already programmed microprocessor from you? If not, could you tell me which Basic Stamp you used (there a 8 of them on the Parallax webpage).

Thank you
